 Vellus hair cyst

 

 The lumen contains small hairs and only keratin 17.

Dermoid cyst

 

 The cyst has thicker walls, lacks the thick hyaline luminal border, and has prominent pilosebaceous contents with sometimes other adnexal elements.

Epidermal cyst

Epidermal cyst will show a low intensity on T1-weighted images and a high intensity on T2-weighted images

The lumen is filled with loosely packed lamellae of degenerated keratin, known as a keratin pearl.
