PIGMENTED PURPURA

Just saw an interesting case. 24yo female with 4 months of recurrent oval
lesions on her legs. They start as punctate purplish lesions which gradually
fade from the center outward. There are only 4 lesions and they measure
around 2-3 cm. 2 on ankles and 2 on right thigh. No other hx, sx's or pmh.
They appear exactly as I learned this variety of pigmented purpura should
look. Any new ideas out there as to etiology for these conditions?

Also, anybody know what is in the charcoal solution being used to penetrate
hair follicles before using YAG laser at 1064 to ablate hair? I heard it is a
secret but we all have a zillion female patients who need this information.
Those of us with YAG lasers could help a lot of people if it really works.
