I have a middle-aged woman with multiple symptomatic cutaneous leimyomata over the left neck. The lesions become painful whenever the skin is exposed to cold. They are biopsy proven. One of the plastic surgeons performed dermabrasion to the site but there was no improvement. Are there any useful options to pursue for (a) getting rid of the lesions, and/or (b) providing some symptomatic relief? Harvey Lui I wonder if iv lidocaine, either as a one time or intermittant dose in the office, or, a self administered drip would work. This would be based on its therapeutic value in Dercum's Disease. Diane Thaler ------------ Knowlege Finder search: JAAD Nov l985 Rx: Calcium Channel Blockers!
