I would be interested in the US groups' opinion on the proper coding of KA's. I
have seen arguments that they should be coded benign and arguments that they
should be coded malignant.  Certainly they can be destructive and basal cells in
some locations. Is there a consensus out there in cyberdermland?

I code them malignant, just as I code KS or HTLV-1 assc'd lymphoma as
malignant. All are probably viral in origin, but meet histologic criteria for
malingnacy.

What do all of you tell your patients the risk of one AK becoming a SCCa
is. I seem to remember between 1/200 to 1/2000 or more.  This was before
the Australian study showing sunscreen remissions.
