What topical therapies do you use to help people with the drying and itching 
of 5Fu cream? What works?

I use the combo of Retin-A and Efudex 5% bid for about 2 weeks...longer if 
there isn't much redness, shorter if they are really uncomfortable. I don't 
use the combo on the face as I find the regular Efudex penetrates the face 
skin just fine.  I use [Retin-A] just to enhance penetration.  Be careful to 
keep the combo out of fold areas, like the antecubital, where it builds up 
and creates irritation.  Afterwards i use topicort cream, but cell death is
cell death and won't respond to anti-inflammatory creams. For 4+
discomfort, Vigilon dressings work miracles in both removing pain and
speeding local healing.
