EOSINOPHILIC FOLLICULITIS --------------------------------------------------------- There was a very recent review article about the use of metronidazol and Accutane for treating eosinophillic folliculitis. Apparently both quite effective . Have many tried it? Which works better and which has less side effects? I seldom use Flagyl but remember a fear of hematologic side effects. Harold Rehbein --------------- Any experience using ACCUTANE for eosinophilic folliculitis in HIV disease. Most reports show using acne-like doses with good response, but small cohorts. I am very impressed with the results, but I am concerned for the winter, when many of these patients have severe ichthyosis, xerosis and asteatosis. Warren J.
