DEMODEX

Had a 54 year old  lady with biopsy-proven Demodex rosacea on the chin.
Sulfacet-R lotion hs and 1% metronidazole cream (Noritate) qam for a month
didn't help at all, so I gave her 12 mg of Ivermectin 4 weeks ago and today
she came in vastly improved compared with the previous photos, and very
pleased.

Do you feel that Demodex rosacea and H.Pylori rosacea are an id to
different stimuli? ......Maybe Ivermectin treats H.Pylori, and Flagyl
treats demodex (along with head lice)?

AIDS patients sometimes get a nasty demodex folliculitis -- ivermectin might
help that.

An excellent tx for demodex folliculitis is Eurax cream. Relatively inexpensive
and well tolerated.
