In an article entitled 'pharmacologic treatment of cancer pain' by levy,
nejm oct 10, 1996 he points out that inhibitors of cyp2d6 enzyme, such as
quinidine, cimetidine and fluoxetine will prevent codeine from being
converted to morphine...interesting, esp. if you're rx'ing codeine + asa 
or tylenol post op and the patient is on one of the above...steve
