  resistentiae.

  A case of Staphylococcus aureus--induced bullous dermatosis limited
  to the sites of glucocorticosteroid-induced striae atrophicae is
  described. Skin with compromised mechanical integrity may be more
  susceptible to disruption by invasion of bacteria and/or by their
  exotoxin. The pathogenesis of striae atrophicae and the mechanism of
  blister formation by S. aureus are reviewed in an effort to relate
  these two phenomena.
