Hereditary Angioedema and Lupus Erythematosus

The association between hereditary angioedema and lupus erythematosus in a family with twin boys was reported in the medical literature in 1974. Subsequent reports have confirmed this association. The daughter of one of the twins from the original report has hereditary angioedema and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
